Our Beginning

Our club was established in early 1999 to promote the hobby of Garden Model Railroading also known as "G" scale model railroading.

The club's first big project was a 30' x 70' double track oval modular layout. For many years it was set up a couple times a year at the swap meet at the old Lancaster fairgrounds. The layout underwent a major overhaul in 2005 chaning the corner radii from 8' to 12'. Today the layout is displayed for the annual Thunder on the Lot at the new fairgrounds and at the Tehachapi Loop Model Train Show.

Late in 2009, we formed a partnership with Greenbee Nursery and Landscaping to construct an outdoor layout with approximately 300 feet of track.
